Okay so I'm looking for some pulleys for the tib .. I've noticed that Unorthodox makes a nice crank pulley for us, but can anyone tell me how the $120 less OBX one compares? Not sure if it's worth the $210 when you can get an OBX for $90 ... Let's hear some input from both sides, OBX and UR
I would also be wanting a full pulley set, so I would get the power/water pulleys too, but it seems the only ones who make those are OBX (and SR, but do they really count?tongue.gif). Since I have an RD1, I won't have any fitment issues right? It's the second gen guys who have problems with the OBX power/water pulleys? Anyone who has these pulleys from OBX or SR want to give me their thoughts?
Assuming I got all 3 pulleys, I would only need to change the belt that goes around the crank right? the other 2 will be fine?
Thx

I am doing many mods simultaneously.
xxxmonoxidechild has been kind enough to offer to install my Ramair IM + Hondata heatshield gasket.
But this is my next planned mod. Unfortunately, I have NO clue which set to go with. I, too, have heard good things about the Shark Racing set. There are some people who havent had any problems with them. And some who have.
I know JSpeed makes one pulley and thats it. But its underdrive (like the others). Im not sure I want to underdrive yet.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

I have the UR underdrive crank pulley ($75, here on the site) and I love it.. just have to make sure the belts are tight or they will squeal against the smooth aluminum.
Unfortunatly, that is all the info I can give you right now.. working on the rest.

I have the OBX crank pulley and it is nice, i have an RD2 and i didnt have fitment issues. Id go for the OBX one, cheaper and still of great quality. I did a DIY for the crank pulley too, in that thread i also included my reflection on it and details about the obx but if you have any more specific questions then go ahead and ask.
THE OBX DIY (here is the DIY for it, duh wink1.gif)

I want to replace all belts thsi weekend and why not replace all pulleys with lighter ones too. PS, Alt, Crank

From what I've heard, JSpeed is the lightest. Maybe Redz can confirm?
Shark Racing sells a Power and Water set minus the Crank pulley for $140, both pulleys are supposed to be 1/2 OEM weight. Perhaps combining the two (SR + Jspeed) would be best?
My only problem then is the belts for the JSpeed set.

Didn't you just have a thread about this?

According to UR, they no longer make that pulley, if you want one, you have to try to find someone with a back stock of them.
OBX is known for fitment issues and selling parts for the wrong cars. Not to mention mid level quality. Their hoses don't fit our car right, but are labled for them, their power pulleys don't fit all the RD's right, but are marketed for all RD's, ect. SOme have had to modify their crank pulley to fit.

JSpeed makes them too, but currently, it seems as if they'll require different belts as the KDM belts are different, not to mention they supposedly don't fit the RD2. I'm still trying to track down some OEM pulleys so I can make an official list of the issues between KDM, US RD1 and RD2 and Beta 2.

I wouldn't assume that.

Read above, they make all of the pulleys, but we pulled their Beta 1 set as they seem to use different belts than we do. I'll try to get an update soon.

SR does but they are GIM pulleys. GIM has just gone out of business (From what I'm told), and make very poor quality products. They are also only available in RED from SR.
