Ok, I just pick up my car from the body shop today. I was all excited because its been there for a long time...

So anyway, my turn signals don't work. They come on when I press the hazard button, but they don't come on when I use the turn signal. On top of that, only one brake light works.

I check the fuses, and they're fine. Any other ideas or has anyone had this problem before?

Check fuse 9 in the dash fuse box.
check the left tail lamp fuse in the engine bay
check the right tail lamp fuse in the engine bay
Check the connection on the back of the lights inside the trunk
check the ground wire on the back of the lights inside the trunk
Check the connector on the turn signal
Check the connector on the hazard button

When you attempt to use the turn signals, do the flashing lights show up in your instrument cluster?

^^ Nope. The lights in the cluster don't come on. BUT when I use the hazard button they do.

I think I've checked everything in DTN's list. Does anyone have a diagram of the fuse box under the hood. The genius that had the car before me painted the cover. I'll have to go more in depth with looking at the connectors, but I'm going to pull the covers off the steering column.

mmmmm i'd take the cover for your tailights (in hatch) off and make sure you don't have any wires pinched between the housing and the car.

also i'd check that you have the correct size bulbs in all 4 corners.

i'd think you'd be burning up some fuses, might want to triple check.

yeah, check all the wiring, when they put the lights back in they may have pinched them or connected them wrong. I've had similar problems in the past.

Everything checked out fine. But after a few minutes in the shout box last night, we figured that it could be the hazard switch itself...

So I tore down the dash today, swapped in my original switch and VOILA! I have signals again. Thanks guys. fing02.gif
