Default Powdercoating an IM

Instead of spending hours and hours and hours polishing and sanding an intake manifold to get that chrome shiny look, is it possible to powdercoat an IM in chrome color or even send it out to be chrome plated? Theres a local place to me that does all that and I think its inexpensive to do. By chrome plating or powdercoating, it will have some type of heat resistance properties too, correct?

the time/effort/money is not worth the cooling effect-... and if you ask me-... it wouldn't be worth it visually either.

It's pretty much up to you! If you want to have the chrome look you have to send it to the chrome shop! As for powder coating I really dont know if they have a chrome like paint. By any chance do you live in San Jose, CA.?
