Opinions On Seafoam
Alright! Finished... though surprisingly there was little smoke after the 15 min wait.
I started by unhooking points 1 , 2 , 4
Started the engine, but it would die almost immediately, had to rev it pretty high (4 - 7 RPMs) in order to keep it alive.
It took me about 2-3 minutes per a point to insertion, while my friend kept the engine alive, I think what happened was that I burnt all the Seafoam off without letting it sit and soak in. Still a fair amount crap came out of the tail pipe.
Turned off the engine, hit point 3 with the last of the Seafoam. Let it sit for 15 min, then started it up, was expecting a big cloud of smoke, but there was only last big blast of smoke after revving the engine.
Next time I'll probably just do point 4, and put a whole can in slowly, then let it sit. Should make for a deeper clean. Next time could be very soon wink1.gif
On another note, while squirting into point 2 I got a good look at the hole in the exhaust I have. Right below the engine... I noticed it because I saw jets of blue flame coming out as the engine was revved.
I'd type a DIY but it seems I didn't quite do it right heh.

When i did mine, I let it idle and poured it in slowly. I didn't have someone there to rev the engine if it started to die. I just let off the stuff. I suggested that to make it go a little quicker. It shouldn't be nescessary to rev it to 6K. The 2nd time i hit mine, i'm not sure if it was that all the nastyness already burned off, or if it didn't really get into the engine and sit because i used deep creep right after, but it didn't smoke as much.
used it today, i poured 3/4 of it into the gas tank. and i poured the rest into the pcv line...... i used the BIC pen method as sum1 had said earlier, and this helped A. keep me form pouring too fast B. kept the engine from dieing due to the smaller hole.
not to much smoke came out tho... but im buying a whol enother can just for the engine........ will too much of this hurt?
ps. i"m starting to think that the only reason we are using this is to get the pretty smoke cloud lol.

lol i bought a can of the liquid and a can of deep creep spray. i'm gonna give this a try tommarow and hopefully it will go pretty good. i'm hard on my engine so i assume i will notice the diffrence right away after driving. i'll let you guys know how it goes tommarow.

That is not a replacement for Seafoam and the only thing it does that seafoam dosn't is make your oil thicker. Auto-RX is an oil solvent/oil stablizer/oil leak stopper. Seafoam goes in the Intake manifold or vacuum system, the fuel tank, and in the oil to clean the engine out. They're different products all together, just seafoam does it all.

I used a can of Seafoam in my gas, didn't notice a damned thing. For my gas, I'll continue to use B12 Chemtool, as I can tell when that's been through the system.
