I just buy factory shop manuals and ETM's. A lot nicer to read through in the car.

gregory's > haynes. haynes tends to use alot of generic photos, and i find the layout a bit confusing.

iirc the manuals won't contain body wiring diagrams though.

Hey.. first thing I would do is fix the codes and the ignition. That would fix functionality and security. Also cruise control codes will lead you to the proper areas to check for that as well. I take it that you use linux bexausee of no mention of safari. To run IE use Wine and get a script called winetricks which will install ie8.

Create your hmaservice account on a windows pc using internet explorer and then you can login just fine with firefox under a different OS. I use firefox to access hmaservice on my linux box all the time. Sometimes you have to right click a link and select this frame, open frame in new window so you can bypass the scrolling frame window restriction.

Thanks guys. I have all the wiring diagrams I need, but with it being easter, I didn't end up having time to do anything.

Although I did start it and the misfire was gone. Car ran minty-fresh again. Although now the radio doesn't turn on. Weird, I hate wiring hackjobs. Anyway Since it was

nice = no misfire

rainy = misfire

nice = no misfire

this leads me to believe that something might be getting wet somehow. Either way, I am going to pick up some plugs and wires and do that. That should take care of that problem. Then I need to set time aside to figure out the wiring mess.

...and yes I use Ubuntu/ChromeOS

Yeah... I had a problem like that... make sure to put a FINE bead of silicone around the top of the plug wires to keep water out.

Trace the wires, don't rely on wire color. Hyundai is infamous for not having any loyalty to wire color compared to the manual. The same wire can also change color along it's run (that the manuals don't show). Always trace the wire to a connector, and base your decision on that. I took blktibs 2 months of trying to do a wiring swap before he gave up and called me and jaws021 to his house to help him out. We got his car running in about 6 hours once we got him to stop insisting on wire color and instead insist on connector placement.
