Hi,
My car is not starting, and I'm trying to determine the cause. It seems I have no spark; the ECU doesn't send the alternating ground to the coils (test light doesn't flash in coils connector while cranking).
The 2 most probable causes are the crank sensor, and the ECU itself. I was trying to see if you could see the engine's RPM while cranking using OBD2, but the connection drops when cranking. I'm not 100% sure, but I seems to remember doing that procedure in the past, so I'm wondering if it's normal. If you have an OBD2 scanner, could you check that please? Try to see if you can see RPM while cranking. Thanks!
