NOS AND the 2k3 Tibby Fuel Pump

Down the road (get it) I plan on adding NOS to my tibby. The Gt must already have a pretty good sized fuel pump. If Im just running say a 50 to 75 shot should I have to upgrade the fuel pump and if so does anybody have recomendations.

Im thinking since this a daily use car I can just drive around with just a few mods (no trubo) but in that off the line case Ill want the power. at 75 that gives me 256 horse. Or does anybody think that in 1/4 miles that a 100 shot would be fine. Im still under 300 and its only for like 12 seconds.

Any thoughts

i dont think i would add a 100 shot to the new tibby
start out with simple mods like a cold air intake/ exhaust/ and headers

but if you really want it,... do it,... just make sure your fuel pump and injectors can handle it
btw,... you wont run the 1/4 in 12 secs
maybe 14

I thought the sticker was 20hp. DARN. I plain on getting when I get the cash and they give a price the Whole ne cat system headers all the way back. Plus cold air and ram air. (prolly make it all one) But I at this point till the warranty goes away I want to avoid Injectors and the such. I talked to the Manager Today at the Dealers shop and he said if I did blow the engine it may or may not be warranty void but I want to be carefull. Would you say a 75 would be safe on the injectors? and I guess 14 is not so bad. LOL that would be any HONDA in my area.

well,... as for intake,...
ummm,... .you should do some research

its either one or the other,... ram or cold air,... unless you take out one of the headlights and stick the filter there eek.gif

go with a cold air,... they are better than ram air intakes

Just to let you guys know, in some states getting caught with NOS in the car with out the sticker on your car will get you in big trouble...

We don't have reliable info on the capacity of the 2003 pump yet, and a 25 shot won't give you 256 hp, more like 220-230 hp which will be good for mid/low 14's on the GT.

Im still reserching. The local speed shop has one that will compute the shot for anything from 25 up with a limiter. Im thinking a 50 or 75 whould be the boost I need not to be beaten (well in this area anyway.
As for CAI VS ram Air. I would think that ram would lend itself to more power at higer speed. Its not boosting but could give maby a .5 to 1 psi kick.
I have to sit down and do the math on that.
The Gt have alot more bumper space so to speak. Im still debating. Its to damn cold to go out and work on the car anyway. 0 F witha 20 mile an hour wind = freeeeezing
