I've been corresponding with Mike, their sales rep.

They have a 200WHP NA setup that seems incredible. They are expensive.

I am currently eyeing their header setup. They claim 15WHP tested. That's incredible for a header on our cars. Only problem - its $700. Thats alot.

Has anyone had any dealings with them? I plan to take the car to them later in the year for them to work on if I can afford it. Right now its out of my budget by a grand or so.

Should be interesting.

Never heard of them.

I wouldn't give that much HP credit to a header on a 4 Cyl mang, maybe if the entire top end was done first and they did that LAST.

Sound like they know what they are talking about.

complete brand new engine with 11.5:1 Compress ratio, porting, camshaft crower (supertech specs ), camgear, jet coat Supertech headers included....

These are the headers they are talking about. As you can see, it looks like it is designed to work well with their setup

A 200WHP setup is very impressive for this car N/A. If I can get to them to agree to a contract as far as HP to $$ is concerned, I might do this.

can you please let me know how much they are asking for 200WHP N/A mod??

Screwdriver Aug 10, 2005 04:14 PM

Its not one mod. Its a series of alterations to the engine. Since you are in a different country, I doubt they will be able to help. Nevertheless, I'll let you know

Supertech is one of the most competent hyundai tuning shop in america wink1.gif

They were the ones preparing tiburon for different racing series. They custom built almost all their parts. You can beleive pretty much everything they tell you. Their header was made throught extensive trial/error/dyno testing. Their kit really gives out 200whp. they also builded 210 and 230whp setups.

Their stuff is expensive but the quality/performance is there. They used or still are making parts for Hyundai motorsport.

They have quoted me CAD$7000 for a 200 WHP setup, including that beautiful header you're talking about.

If I can bring them down to $5000 US ($6K CAD), then I will take the car to them later and avoid Turbocharging altogether.

tanc Aug 11, 2005 02:10 PM

So can I ask why your going to spend 5000$ US on 200whp with N/A instead of boosting too 300whp and it will probably be the same around in $

Screwdriver Aug 11, 2005 02:36 PM

Cause I want reliability. Its no.1 on my priority list. Plus, they're giving me a brand new built engine. They even said they'd fit N2O because the engine would now take repeated spraying.

These guys really know what they are doing. But you do make a good point. In the end, I'll have to weigh my options.

Where the hell in america are these guys??? Nevermind, I found em. I was praying the ca, meant cali, but nope 02.gif
