alright, ill give a lil background on this so people know exactly how the setup is.

i have a leaky injector on my boost rail.

heres how it ALLL started.. on the rail (t4turbotibs) you mount the rail to the spacer using set screws. well, i forgot to lock tight the screws, so eventually one vibrated out, and popped off my rail. in the process, it busted one of the o-rings on my injectors. this all happened while i was driving.. yeah, that friggin sucked..

anyway, to make a long story short, i took the whole rail off, cleaned it, and replaced ALL the o-rings. i wiped em with some oil to lube them up, and re-installed everything, on the side of the road.

on the ride home, everything seemed fine. i had a temporary fix to the missing set screw, so i went and purchased another one today. yeah i know, im lazy, but i never drive the tib anymore anyways. i put the new set screw in, tightened everything down, and started up the car.

everything looks good, then i notice some fuel pooling up next to one of the injectors, a completely different injector that was leaking. so, i popped the fuel rail off, looked at all the o-rings, put it back on, and it still leaks..

i have the OEM spec o-rings on there, and it was fine for like 2 years..

can someone please tell me what im doing wrong.

socks, is it leaking for the base o-ring or the top o-ring portions of the injectors?

is it leaking just a little bit or more?

and your fuel pressure is the same as before right?

The set screw used for T4's dual rail do not hold down very good. I had to get two 5mm bolts for more bit, you may not have the rail down tight enough.

the injectors are ALL seated all the way down.. its the same as i had it before, you cants see the fuel spraying out or anything, its just a slow leak, and you can see it pool up..

my fuel psi is 38 with vac. hooked up.

i cant tell where it is leaking from, cuz its soo little, yet so constant.

Maybe the injector has a hairline crack?

SOCKS_old 05-29-2007 02:25 PM

could be, but it didnt look like it, and it never leaked AT ALL before..

wait, the injectors open from the top or bottom? because my injectors for the secondaries DO NOT fire, until i hit boost, so they should be closed.. itf the open from the bottom though, then that could be my problem, but if they open from the top, it couldn't be a crack.

Check the spacer, and make sure your injector bungs are not dmged. It might be hard to see. Your injectors should sit in there snugg.

You might need bigger o-rings to sit the injecters tightly

most of the time it's a dammaged o'ring
remove them and inspect them, look for small missing chips in the rubber
maybee a small chip of dirt or metal also
