well i was told by a buddy of mine after i left his house that there was a puddle on the road where i parked, checked under the car/hood and couldnt see anything so figured it wasent mine, this was about 3 days ago

today while at the park listening to my music and sitting on at the picnic table, i can see partly under my car and its actually leaking, and pretty badly too, like 2-3 drops a second or so, seems to only drip when the car is idling and slanted slightly forward since i never noticed anything when the cars on the driveway facing towards the door or on level ground.

pretty sure i found the hose that its spitting from, its on the firewall near the passanger side, its this little L hose that sticks out of the firewall about a inch and then makes a 90 degree turn facing straight to the ground

its clear and isint hot at all even after the cars been running and idling in the heat for quite awhile and the overflow tank is full so that leads me to belive that it isint coolant, ps, oil, or tranny fluid (duh lol) for a sec i thought it might be the washerfluid but im pretty sure there are no washer fluid hoses that lead out of the firewall facing the ground,

could it be the a/c or something?

anyways, hopefully someone can figure out what it is before it leaks everything that its leaking and then i got a bigger problem lol, hopefully i can fix this myself cause i just bought some ksport coilovers :S

thanks alot for any help

It's probably the condensate drain from the A/C system. Did you have the A/C running? It will leave a puddle of water on the ground.

^^^That's what it sounds like to me. What's the consistency of the fluid coming out? Any smell?

You could always taste it. lmao.gif

Sounds like A/C to me though. Smell it, even though thats almost as bad as tasting it. Hell, taste it if you want. Even if it is gas or coolant, which I doubt, a lil nibble won't kill ya.

Probably just mainly water, making it A/C related.

seems like its water, its clear but i didnt taste it lol and ya i did have the a/c running, its been running alot latley

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>It's probably the condensate drain from the A/C system</div>

it looks like its that, cause its almost like that sunroof drain when you take the fender off, rubber hose doesnt seem to connect to anything and is just facing to the ground

if its that... it isint a bad thing then right? like condensation creates itself so if it forms up and it all flows out then nothing bad happen, if that makes sense..... like if all the oil in your car leaks out... and theres no oil left... engine gots problems... if all the water in the a/c leaks out or whatever/however it works... does it go boom? or no lol

ya... im not to knowlegable about the a/c as you can see smile.gif

all vehicles with a/c have condensation. perfectly normal

nothing will happen its just how it works and there is no water in your a/c system.

sweet, glad to hear its nothing bad then smile.gif

how come the hose is comming out of the firewall though, figured the a/c unit would be in the engine bay and any drainage of anything would come from the unit itself

I think it's the life fluid running our of your engine.

Better pick some up pretty soon, otherwise if it runs out, you engine dies

ALL a/c systems, whether in a car or not, remove heat and moisture out of the air. It's got to go somewhere.
