So I went into the dealership to ask about prices on some random parts, and after giving the pretty little lady my V.I.N. she told me there was a recall on my exhaust manifold. She didn't know much about it. Nothing actually. So does anyone here know anything? What the recall was for, etc?

Wondering if it's worth taking in for them to replace, or if I should just hold out until I get a new exhaust system installed.

When I was there I told her I wouldn't worry about it since i'm getting aftermarket parts installed in a few months anyway, but then later I started worrying about what the recall was for. *laughs* I don't want to have an "accident" just because I didn't want to take my car in. Especially since they fix that stuff up free of charge.

moving to general performance

yes there is a recall on exhaust manifold, cause it tends to crack.
Recall means it will be replaced for free.

I would replace it and then install aftermarket exhaust (headers). This way you will have new exhaust manifold.
