Idle boost
Hey how is everyone doing. I have not posted in a while but here it goes. I have always had a idle problem with my 98 turbo fx. If I don't play with the throttle after 1st start the idle drops and completely shuts of vehicle. I have to repeat this process until temperatures gets warm and then I can ease off the throttle slightly and until becomes stable. Any of you boosted guys have this problem? is this common? Any help would be awesome.

There are cold-start and high-idle settings that may not be tuned properly. I would take the ECU to a local MS tuner. Or learn how to adjust the settings yourself.
Am located in the Los Angeles area. Yes I did take it to a local tuner that has megasquirt experience. No the idle issue was not an issue prior to going turbo. I do not know how to play with the tune. I am aware of tuner studio but I have not messed with it, and lastly no I did not eliminate the IAC it is still plugged in. I hope I have answered everyones question.

If the car ran fine before the MS, and had a cold start issue after, then the cold start options is most likely the problem. I would start by making sure you have a good vacuum though. Leaks can also cause all kinds of problems.
Sounds good. Well am start with what I can do and that is checking vacuum. I will admit I have a shop air hose type going from the brake booster to the manifold. At the time of the build I had to do what I needed to get the car running. As far as the IAC valve is still the original. Should I replace it or eliminate it, suggestions would help narrow down this idle cold start problem.

That could be a problem. Especially if you're boosted. That hose is supposed to have a one-way valve so that the brake booster only sees vacuum. Also, if the engine stalls, you'll lose your power brakes immediately.
