reset your ECU it should fix it.

after i changed my timing belt i forgot to take the battery cable off and my rpms were around 2500 then i reset ecu and walla back to normal

well I did that today when i hooked up ground wires still didnt work?

Adjust your idle screw.

Adjust your throttle cables.

Clean your idle bypass (And make sure it's connected with no vaccum leaks.)

yes I did all that still nothing

REDZMAN Jan 13, 2006 07:25 PM

Maybe, and I know this is silly, but you could tell us what mods you have.

Oh, I'd about guarantee it's because of your MAF CEL.

Check the connection on the maf wiring harness, then DOUBLE CHECK THE DIRECTION ARROW on the MAF to ensure it's pointing the right way.

What EXACT code # are you getting?

Where did you run your grounds to?

Seriously man, tell us everything in the first post, and what you've done most recently.

Ok all I did was hook up grounds 1 to alternator,1 to intake manifold,1 to side wall ,1 to engine thats all i did recently.I cant remember the exact numbers that came up on the reading. But the maf arrow is the right way.But when i had turbo i had to extend the maf wires,so i wonder if it messed it up some how?I put an engine in also but i had might cel before that also.I would like tyo get a whole new ecu harness, and have a shop put it in because,I switched out the maf to see if that would get rid of the cel nope.I have a new o2 senor in front and the reading sadi that was low also, but im thinking maby thqats because of the maf or maby cause i had to extend them wires also or maby the wires are messed up from the shop that tapped my air fuel gauge in it to everywire and meesed it up?Im very stummped.I just want to get rid of this car. Also when I ajusted the screw it would raise the idle, then when i hit the gas the rpms would get stuck at like 3000rpms,then if i just shut the car off the at idling at 1200rpms and turn the car back on it would just go back to 200-300rpms?

Considerin you have the same problem as SwiftTiburon, and you both ahve o2 sensor codes, i place bet on o2 sensor.
