I noticed last night that my rear passenger side fender is starting to get a tiny little paint bubble. Gonna try and take care of it before its gets too late. Not bad though for a 12 year old car that gets driven every day. I would have expected there to be alot more rust since Hyundai cheaped out on materials back in the day. Anyone elses cars starting to show signs of rust or holding up really well against it?

touch of surface rust where the water pump pulley scuffed the chassis rail, also light rust around the bell housing where i filed it back to fit the starter. both are mild, but no frame rust per se.
no rust here either... 11 years strong, no paint bubbles. now... stock paint is another question. clear coat faded within a year on the hood and rear wing mounts. even after yearly waxings of Meguiars carnuba wax.

Quite a bit of rust actually
That metal strip along the front rubber lip of the hood on the front bumper has literally desintegrated - I can vacuum it off the car.
The big bracket supporting the engine ... actually several locations in the engine bay.
Bodywork is fine except for the odd stone chip.
Paint:
The paint job is also not that good
peals off in some locations and the clear coat flakes (on hood and roof).
I could post pictures if anyone's interested.
The car is not kept in a garage (don't have one). In winter our roads are de-iced mechanically and with salt and sometimes using salt with solvents that make the salt stick more. The rust is not bad if I compare it to other people's cars (different brands), but I must admit that it is worse than on my Honda Preludes (1984,1986) which had no body-cavity sealing till I put it on in 2006.

Even when we get bad, highway crippling, ice we just truck sand, and sand trucks, in from Abilene.
