Would I have to bore out the intake manifold to feel any power increase or will I feel something in the butt dyno with just the TB?

I can let you know next spring. Just bought one for my car, but it's suppose to increase throttle response.

For $300 + shipping I think I would try to find a cheaper one.

im pretty sure the TB and the manifold are same size.

So you may need to cut away some of the manifold hole to notice a gain.

I'd just get a GM truck tbody, and make an adapter plate.

Or run dual stock tbodies.

I thought Tigerlily went under years ago.

Also this throttle body doesn't have cruise. But I don't think there are many options left for BBTB for the Beta motors unless you go custom. I hope somebody tells me of one still being produced that I don't know of.

You're better off just removing the stock TB and IM and sending them out to be port & polished. Cheaper than the Tigerlily, you keep your cruise control, and you'll have better performance.

Anyone with access to basic hand tools can make a throttlebody adapter, it's not rocket science.

If you want alto keep cruise, grab a V6 tbody from a 2000-ish Mitsubishi with the integral cruise actuator and plumb the vac line to it.

Just remember to block off the IAC ports in the replacement tbody.

For normally aspirated I'd wouldn't waste that sort of money but for forced induction they work a treat

Random question. How large can the throttle body go if you bore out the intake manifold? I think 70mm will hit the studs that mount the throttle body to the intake manifold.

You can go larger if your adapter transitions from circular to + shaped, and you use a custom gasket or 518 gasket maker.
