Help!!!!!
Well we went out and looked and.. isnt doesnt the water pump get it power from the alternator?? cause the belt for that is taken off.... also we took the plug wires off and turned the key cause it makes the noise while trying to start is also... and my father after many frustrating minutes of looking for the flipping starter.... found it on the back of the engine... <_< and put his hand on it. and he said for every "tap" you hear you can feel it in the starter... he said the noise might be the starter trying to reingage..... any thoughts on this...
after i stop trying to start the car.. you can still hear a few "taps" and then it stops.. just thought i would throw that in there

you know.. there may be some credence to what that mechanic said about it being the torque converter then. If it or the ring gear (can't call it a flywheel) is loose, it could be wobbling inside the bellhousing. Without going outside (in the dark) and looking at my car, I cannot tell you if there is an inspection plate of any other sort of easily removeble plate into the bellhousing, it might be worth a look.
