I've been wondering this for some time now.....

I have a '98 Tib and it doesn't have an indicator/alarm/warning that I've left my headlights on. Ok, you know when you turn your engine off, and you've left your lights on, there's usually a warning that you've left your lights on - anyway, my point is that I don't have one, and I was wondering if the model just didn't come equipped with one, or if it's broken.

Man, that was akward.

 

Both my tibs dont. 99 and 01. just got to rember nana.gif.

 

Theres no warning or indicator, just use your head and dont forget haha laugh.gif

 

took me four jumpstarts to learn my lesson. LOL.

I asked the same question a year ago too. In washington, a guy's elantra had it and he said he wired it himself. Wouldn't be too hard to do, I think if you search for my post a year back someone (tibby01?) tells ya the quick rundown on what ya'd have to do to add a *ding warning for your headlights..

my 01 has it. i think they all came with it. its just an annoying ding if you open the door with the lights on. the one on my 99 is broken i think.

 

Im pretty sure my 01 has it too. weird how some have it but some dont..

 

Both my Tibs have an alarm when you leave the lights on and open the door...

 

Mine has one ITS SO ANNOYING

almost makes you wanna start slicing your wrists.

 

i took the key in alarm out of mine (where the keys in the ignition with the door open) but left the light one in because its actually helpful. theres a thing around that says how to take them out
