Ok so saturday my mechanic is doing my headers for me. I am keeping the second CAT stock. So i know that he will have to place the second O2 sensor after that CAT. My question is does the stock ot sensor even reach behind the CAT. Or do we have to extend the wire or something. It is a 2001 tiburon.

you need to extend the wiring.

Oh fun. How many wire is it? I have it sitting in my car. I will probably just soder some new wires in tonight. How long should I end up making it. 6 gauge wire good enough?

Ok so I can see that it has 4 wires on it. I should be able to soder a longer wire in. Only question is how long to make it. I can really get under my car at the moment as it is way too low. And it wont be back up on the life till the day headers are getting put in. I told the guy I would have the wire done.

coming from here, hard to tell how long of a wire you need... you need to guesstimate it yourself man!!!

most guys i know that did a header got a an aftermarket cat anyways and the placement is not the same as where the stock one should be... so the wire length is depended on the setup

also, just to let you know, a part of that o2 sensor conductor (sensor to connector section) is heat resistant, so soldering will be of no effect... you have to use some butt connectors and use a very good crimper

good luck

Ok so your saying solder is out because it will probably just melt correct?
I will have to see if i can find some good connectors at napa because I am using the second stock cat.
I dont wanna use the 2 predrilled holes because I wont get an good reading out of them and it will throw a CEL
