My engine was starting to make noisy enginey sounds when idling so I changed the PCV and dropped new plugs in today.

The PCV was ONLY $3.50 at <strike>O'Rileys</strike> Autozone and it took 2.5minutes to install.

Anyways, i was starting to think I had a compression problem, turns out just needed a new PCV cuz it was clogged. Try it guys.

Just to enlighten me, explain to me why weak compression would result in a harsher idle.

Now before you laugh at me, all the cars ive ever owned were a 73 cutlass, 84 trans am, 85 jeep, and a 87 grand am and all of them had the pcv valve right on the rocker cover case. I`m trying to change my pcv valve and cant find it. lmao.gif

EDIT: Nevermind ... found it ... I`m an idiot ...

No, it is the PCV valve which stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation.

It's a good practice if you change it once every 20,000 odd miles, especially in rougher conditions.
