Cleaning the IAC is good. I just lubed mine because I wanted to make sure it was opening and closing properly.

spray the high temp silicone lube into it. It makes it move (freer, freeer?) more freely.

Like any high-temp silicone lube, or a specific one?

BTW, followed what was outlined, and there is a very noticeable difference. The car does not slow down as much when off the gas, and does idle more smoothly. And my catback quieted down. Maybe because the MAF is no longer under-reading? Whatever that did, I like it!

You can use the lubrication of your choice. Silicone lube in general is a good high temp lubricant. It does not burn up or off easily. It was a very noticable difference between unlubed and lubed movement of the IAC.
