So for the last 2 days when i start my car up in the morning i have had a good deal of blue smoke. Its only in the morning (car sitting for a while). It does not do this when i leave for work or when driving. I cant tell if anything is burning while i drive as i do not have a sense of smell. (medical cauterization inside the nose for nosebleeds kills sense of smell.) Oil level is fine, and a quick 5 - 10 seconds at 2500 rpm clears the smoke.

Im at a loss since it is not constant and only happens in the morning.

Im going to check my oil for antifreeze and check to see if there is oil in the radiator. I dont think there is becuase the car does not feel as if its losing power.

seems like it would be oil seeping past your lifters while it sits for long time. nothing to worry bout just your engine gettin some wear

1) how many miles on the engine?
2) a compression/leakdown test combination would be informative.

well its definately oil...

first thing i would do is a compression test. although, from the sounds of the symptoms you have listed so far, i would say something to do with the head.

have someone with a sense of smell drive close behind you after its all warmed up and look for puffs of smoke, or see if they smell any oil.

just cause you can't see any smoke while your driving, doesn't mean its not there. usually the puffs are to small, and you wont see them from the drivers spot.

As was mentioned before,a valve seal or some other oil leak allowing to drip overnight.

It's deffinately leaky valve guides. Not really an easy fix, but you can just replace the head as a whole. If you do decide to fix the problem instead of replace it, you might as well get a port and polish on the head too.

Do valve guides all wear at the same rate?
