After the mods today i was cleaned my engine bay with chemicals for a long time to make the engine its best colour. After 04 hours i tried to start the engine and it starts up, but there was some crappy sound and i have noticed blacked smokes out from silencer. When i push pedal to giv some race it tries to run but not same as before. I checked the plugs and it was totally blacked. I hav setup new plugs and still its not same as before , i mean the engine is not running smooth as before. So have any one experienced this and if any one know whats the problem can you please let me know???I'm thinking maybe some water has leaked to engine coz i have covered up only the alternator, nothing else. Pls help me hail.gif hail.gif hail.gif

Uhm, no, you posted this in For Sale.

Moving to General Performance.

As for your problem, I don't know what you washed your engine with, so no clue what you did.

anyways back on subject now that this is in the right place
i think you did one of 2 things

you got water/chemicals down your spark plug holes and when you removed the plugs it fell into the chamber and the black smoke is the engine burning the stuff

or

you got water/chemicals on the air filter and it got sucked into the motor

that is if im reading your horrible english correctly lmao.gif

I can't even begin to comment.

One helpful tip for anyone that wants to clean their engine bay...use a steamer.

hey faith dont pick on the poor guy pokey.gif he made an honest effort, but ya i would have to agree with you on this one pokey.gif

also try changing your oil cause some of the chemicals may have mixed in with it causing it to bubble and burn off.

I'm sorry for my bad English, coz i dont' know how to explain in english, so i have done my best, I'm really sorry for my horrible english.

Redzman: I have used Valvoline Engine Cleaner, First i use this chemical for 05 to six times to wash the engine with high pressure. Second i have made the custom chemical ( Petrol + detergent ) to wash and for the final to clean the chemicals i have used water.

Note: Petrol + Detergent ( Have to mix the detergent with petrol ) In maldives people used this to wash their engines and you will find a good result from engine room. It will clear all the oils and it will show as a new engine.

change your oil,you probably got detergent mixed in to the oil and that whats causing it. the detegent will deffinately make you oil bubble up and burn off.

please tell me you coverd air filter and ignition coils... and didn't put high pressure water on the valve cover!

See on the dipstick, is oil the same as before, or there are some spots?

I think you just make wet spark plugs or ignition coils. Take off plug wires and dry it, dry coils, clean and dry spark plugs.
