Neg it's a 2003 Elantra, old style fog lights (Elantra) and I like it better than the newer 04-up ones.

Still, it's 4 years old, and under warranty, get it done free.

Why not?

http://www.hyundaicanada.com/

Warranty & Maintenance

Warranty

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>5 Year 100,000 KM Comprehensive Limited

Covers nearly every new vehicle component.

Covers repair or replacement of any component manufactured or originally installed by Hyundai that is defective in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance

The following components covered for time and mileage limits indicated:
Radio and Sound Systems (i.e. radio, cassette tape drive mechanism, and compact disc player), DVD system: 3 years / 60,000 Km
Paint: 3 years/ 60,000 Km
Battery: 3 years / 60,000 Km (100battery and labour covered)
Air Conditioner Refrigerant Charge: 1 year / 20,000 Km
Adjustments: 1 year / 20,000 Km

Refer to the Service Passport for complete details of Hyundai Warranties.</div>

Looks like that one would cover it right there.

I don't see what could make the 2 harnesses go bad, at all. Does nothing work at all on the doors that is controled by those anymore? Sounds like a fuse/relay problem.

I tested all the leads myself on the drivers door only and the only 4 wires that work are the speaker wires, the rest have no power going to the end of the connector, none of the inside metal tabs have any power getting to them......i haven't gone so far as to cut of the harness a little ways down and test again but the LED's on the switch still lights up.......I have to go talk to my Electrical guy @ GM where I work and see if he'll help me some more, he tested the leads too and of course....nothing............i dunno guys this is just a very annoying problem all in all lol.

warranty or junkyard man. even if you gotta drive a ways, its still better than $1000. Or have someone here check their yards and stuff.

Yup.

I'm telling you, it's a fuse. I had a fuse that did the same sorta thing once, but it was fine. The problem was the contacts at ONE side of the fuse were pushed too far apart and they weren't touching. Bent them back, worked fine ever since.
