Does your hood still have the insulation pad?
I removed mine a while back because it looks cleaner without it but now Im wondering if I should put it back on. Ive heard removing them can mess up the paint on the hood from the extreme temps your engine puts out.

The Genesis didn't come with one. Though small, that turbo puts out a lot of heat when it's glowing red.

Nothing on the coupe, but I did remove it from my Tiburon, since I had mirror film under the hood. :)

My intake is loud enough without removing the insulation, thanks. Bonus points for not burning yourself when the cops throw you on the hood?

Yes

Haha, is that a yes to the title of the thread, to my bonus question, or both?

Lol Both

Carbon Fiber doesn't fit a liner

I think it is only needed to dampen the engine noise. My Prelude never had one and has a smaller gap between engine and hood (like the CRX). Never heard of that thing being needed to protect the paint.

Mine is still there.
