im trying toput my new ss clutch line i bought from the gb on my car. but i cant get the compression fitting to come off the metal line.it has already started strippin and i would like to try to avoid having to replace it. has anyone had this problem?i have already tried to spray some penetrating grease to see if it would help. but still no luck. any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I'm not sure if I get what you're talking about, but try to take the line to a large hardware store. They should be able to put a new nut and flare on the end of the pipe.

get all of the fluid out of the line first.
