Ok, my uncle owns a machine shop. He makes motors, intake/exhaust manifold, heads, stuff like that, and hes always making some custom things (mostly for corvettes and DISGUStangs, (he HATES imports, and constantly rages on my hyundai) but he just started getting into making Throttle Bodies. So i told him my story of how i cant get any 70mm BBTB and he said if i could give him a stock TB, he would make one for me.. (only because he knows the things i'm doing to my car and the INSANE amounts of power IT WILL PRODUCE) Luckly i have 2 of EVERYTHING for my car. So the next day i ran it over to him and he said he'd get crakin on it. BUT it would have to be T6061 Billiet Aluminium (darn) and he said he'll have one completed in a few months (like 2) UNder 1 condition...that i dont mention to anyone that hes working on somthing for a Hyundai........ now while hes in the makin process of a hyundai 70mm TB would anyone be interested?? now i know your all gonna ask HOW MUCH!! well I DONT KNOW!!!! it would be his price, i just wanna get some feedback on about how many people want a 70mmTB, and "i want one but i dont have the money/never will have the money" answers wont help me..if your interested and are willing to pay up to i'd say $500 (JUST A NUMBER) respond and let me know....and if i have a few people i'll let him know to keep the blueprints for it and start producing.....and i'll respond in a few days....

It depends on how much.

LOL

Sorry, but it's true. For a 70MM, I'd pay about $300 TOPS, shipped.

I'd actually like a 65MM.

Haha... $500 for a TB. eek5.gif I would find another's car TB and make it fit if I had to pay that much for a TB. Don't get me wrong; someone who's investing into the looks of the car might be interested in paying that much, if the TB is indeed gonna look nice, but I ain't gonna pay $500 for a TB. The cams + remapped ECU Rick is selling is near that price wink1.gif

he was just throwing a number out there folks. it isnt up for debate. he doesnt even know if his uncle will produce more than one of these. now if interest is high enough and he feels he can make money. i dont see why he wouldnt make more. if he is a reasonable guy he wont want 500 for em either.

The only information we actually have is that "guess price", so that's the only thing we can talk about.

Otherwise, how many people are interested in a 65 and/or 70mm TB at a good price? A shitload, IF the price is right. This is still the Hyundai community; you can't expect people to pay $500, or even $400, for a TB (people = > 10).

Completely agreeable.

They'll be realatively easy for him to make, and he could make a BUNDLE on them.
