Here is a list of parts that are compatable with rd2's and rd1's. If you know of any or see any that are wrong please post. Mods can you sticky this and also update the list on the first post when a new one is mentioned?

from a XD elantra or a GK 4 banger:

alternator has 10 more amps to it
aluminum oil pan
beta 2 head is interchange able with minor modification

from a kia spectra5:
rotors to make xg caliper swap without having to drill holes for the studs

eclipse radiator was made to fit by gary he had to cut the top hose to add a radiator fluid cap

ive been testing to see if the sentra spec V has compatible struts but i havnetn had the chance too

 

the older toyota supra fuel pump will work on the rd.

 

Guys, you might want to add model year when you specify a model.

The years of the Spectra (for rotors) is 2004.5+.
Mitsubishi Galant V6 also works (don't know the precise year).

Can you specify what minor modification is nescessary for the swap?

 

you gotta remove the oil restricter

 

accent's TPS is the same as the beta's

 

Okay, let me see if I can help here.

Koyo Radiator for the GK's fits the RDs.

Beta 2 lightweight pulleys fit the beta 1's, with the restrictions we listed with the power steering pump splines and water pump sub pulley.

Beta 2 Valve Cover is a straight swap, as long as it's not CVVT.

Beta 2 exhaust manifold and intake manifolds will both swap, but intake manifolds could run you into the Idle Bypass problem (They have different systems but similar voltages). Supposedly the GK's and RD's can share coilovers.

Oh, and a personal favorite.

GK front Strut Bars fit the XD. XD front strut bars fit the Sonata. Sonata front strut bars fit the RD's. They all fit the same. I recieved a Sonata strut bar as a return, fitted it on my RD. Noticed that the label was for the XD, and sold it and installed it to a GK owner and member of this site, 04silvertibby.

Supposedly the Beta 2 oil pan holds more oil and is sturdier than ours.
