undo slave cyl from trans, undo rubber hose, hold in fist w/ bellow facing up, bang on workbench untill small coil spring w cap falls out-... re-install and bleed/refill clutch fluid.

^^ What he said.

Did this a few days ago on my friends car, between that and a custom made stainless hose, his slipping issues went away.

don't think ^ cured your friend's problem-... bleeding the clutch properly most likely did the trick!

We bled 3 of the liter containers of fluid through the old setup over the course of 6 weeks.

Each time was a total flush, and it didn't help. We used both the pump method, and the assisted vac bleed method.

His issue was sudden slippage whenever he hit the power band or tried to use cruise. It could only be fixed by bleeding the system fully, and upon opening the bleeder, you got a spray of fluid with the pedal up. It came back at random.

Cracking the fitting from the hard line to the flex didn't produce the squirt of fluid, only cracking the bleeder.

It's a weird mystery, we don't know exactly what fixed it, but after changing the hose and removing the restrictor, the symptoms are gone completely, no slippage at all, even when banging through the gears north of 5 grand.

is it possible that the hard line and the rubber line were not and air tight seal? i had that problem once it had gotten the best of me for awhile before i figured it out.

either way glad to hear the problem is resolved.
