I've been looking for a catch can that I like for some time, and have found a few.

I don't want one of the cheap ass plastic DIY ones, and I don't want one of these rediculously huge aluminum ones on ebay.

Two questions.

1. What are the sizes of hoses we have that go to the catch can? I've found the one I like in 1/4 and 3/8.

2. Any problem with a catch can with a breather filter on it?

Thanks for your time folks.

Only issue I'm worried about with the breather is, isn't there supposed to be pressure in that line?

AN and NPT Sizings

Trust me...you'll need that, specially when it comes to plumbing. Maybe you won't need it, but other people who plan on doing extensive plumbing (like fuel cell PITA plumbing) will definitely benefit from it.

Well, the ones I want come in 1 Pint size, and those just offer 1/4 or 3/8 size.

The AN and other sizes are on the 1 QT ones and I don't think they have a OUT port if I see them right.

it doesnt have to have pressure

people run with the line going from the vent to the catchcan and then a breather and they run alright

the only one i think that needs it is the pcv valve

With a catch can, you can remove the pcv valve. Route both hoses from head to the catch can. The is no issue with pressure in the lines. Unless the can is full, it won't spill out.

^^^
If I remove the PCV valve, how would I connect the hose? Get a fitting to go in there?

Also, what do you mean both hoses from the head? I thought there was just that one that went from the corner of your valve cover to the intake elbow?

Thanks for everything so far guys, I'll put up pics and such, it's a nice unit.

I should make a CAI for my breather.

Sorry to hijack but does anyone have pics of how your catch-cans are connected? I've put off getting one but I'll need one soon. I currently have only the PCV connected.
