Default Beta swap Turbo (ABS and Airbag Lights)

After taking my car for a drive to tune the VE Fuel and spark Map.

i noticed my ABS and Airbag light stayed on (5 months worth of dash in and out wiring)

Everything seems fine and they just need to be reset.

I have Stock NO Ecu in my car is this causing my problem ?

I know the ABS and Airbags have there own Computers ?

I couldn't tell you about the ABS, but the airbag certainly does have its own computer. I think that it has its own diagnostic connector too, so you might be able to get away with it. But if you're messing around with axles, ring wheels, VSS and so on - I can imagine that the computer would get upset.

They quoted me $70 to attempt to flash the airbag light on my beta accent.

my local garage did it for free, i guess they couldn't guarantee that the $4000 snap-on scan tool would keep me from coming back to them if i paid for it.

maybe coupe and accent axles have different teeth. Because abs sensors are the same as crank vr sensors.

so the sensors may see more or less teeth and screw up the computer

From what I recall on the air bag system it was not tied into the ecm. My light was on as well because I unplugged some air bag connections with the battery still hooked up. Had my buddy with his super scan tool reset the air bag system and have had no problems since.

The abs light was on for me as well. My donor beta ecm was abs and my donor 03 Accent gauge cluster was abs as well but my 02 accent had no abs. I pulled the abs light out of the cluster and reassembled it. The light was gone of course but it caused the other brake light to come on Thats as far as I made it. I think if I pop the abs bulb back in and either supply the unused cluster harness wire for that bulb with a ground or low voltage signal wire it will go away, just gotta figure out what is what. If you figure it out let us know.

IF it is looking for a bulb and not seeing one, if you put a power resistor across the line where the bulb should be, maybe that fixes it?

The airbag light is sensitive anyways on the Tiburon (Beta). If you pulled the dash off or mess with electrical wiring there's a chance it will trigger. Try resetting the ECU.
