So i put on the BBTB i bought the other day but i can't seem to get it to quit sticking. It's right as it starts to open. I tried cleaning it with throttle body cleaner but it didn't seem to help. Anyone have any ideas? I'm open for suggestions. Thanks

suggestion: SEARCH

its been covered numerous times. Adjust the bolt so it holds the TB open a little.

Damn, I used my 1000th post on that. Well happy 1000 to me! cool.gif

Ok that makes sense but it's being held open it's gonna cause it to idle higher. I did do a search but couldn't find anything of help.

well a little turn on that idle screw doesn't really affect the idle that much...there is a small "buffer" before it will start affecting it.

Umm.. I don't have an idle screw. The only way to adjust my idle is with the throttle linkage.

VERY lightly sand the contact points in the throttle body. i went around the butterfly just enough to make the edges shiny, and then attacked the line where it hits the TB bore with a wire brush. no sticking for me.

All TB's and BBTB's have a adjustment for idle. It's either a screw or a bolt.

Show us a pic of it so we can see if you've got an idle screw.

I don't have a camera anymore or i'd put a pic up. I looked all over it and didn't see a screw or a bolt. As for what kind it's i have no idea, i got it from Mk.
