I would ask Redz to see if it will be available any time soon, if so, I would wait for that one. I had it for over 2 years and was very pleased with it...very nice looking too.

Why did you sell it? Are you using a different BBTB now? Any differences you perceive? I am using one of them now and I have no trouble with it, I am happy.

Didn't someone actually measure the OEM one in that last thread and confirm it was 54MM?

Last time I read, the OEM TB was supossed to be 53mm
REDZ, wasn't the System GTR unit 61mm?

If you measure it at the "front" of the TB, you'll get one measurement. If you measure it at the back, you'll get a second. Measure the butterfly, and you'll get a third. The "true" measurement should be the smallest of the three (should be butterfly), that might explain some of the various readings by people.

They SHOULD be talking about the Narrowest point in the TB. So if they call it a 60m tb, the butterfly should be the smallest point and should be 60mm

If you have a 60mm throat (leading to butterfly) and/or 60mm neck (leading from butterfly) if the butterfly itself is just 52mm, you have a 52mm TB, not a 60mm TB.

Truth in advertising I guess... no way to tell how big a TB is without asking where it was measured.

I sold mine 'cause I had purchased one of the 62mm BBTB's that Col had made (he only made 10 so I grabbed one while I had the chance).

Well, the reason I bring it up, is a certian company out there sells an "Adjustable" Bored TB. They claim it can go from 58mm to 60mm by changing a ring in the neck of the TB. Since you're not changing the TB butterfly itself...the "size" of the TB doesn't change.

But ultimately doens't it matter what the smallest size of the TB is?

I mean if you go from 70MM at the opening to 61MM at the narrowest point, you've got a 61MM BBTB, no matter where that 61MM is. If it is behind the butterfly, it's still a 61MM right?

Yes, you would need to make a new butterfly... really not too difficult though. As for the tools, yeah, you would need an electric die grinder and some bits. Probably would cost $160 or so... but then you would have the skill and knowledge to do your own work on your IM, ports, etc.
