Okay so I got up early today to install the 1.8l cam and it turns out that I already have it installed because I have the SAME exact part # for the two camshafts. There's no way a 2.0l cam would have the same part number by any chance, is there?

My cam is BRAND new, so you should see it in the FS section soon if I already have it installed.

If you bought your car used, the previous owner could've installed one. BTW, what year is your TIb?

2kShark 10-11-2005 08:11 AM

2000

Man, I guess I was just looking forward to something I already had. I always wondered why my intake sounded so growly compared to other Tibs...

REDZMAN 10-11-2005 08:18 AM

Did you buy your car used?

Where did you find the part # on the cam???

Screwdriver 10-11-2005 09:08 AM

Did your car come with any modifications?

If not, it's unlikely that the previous user will change the cam and nothing else.

If you do end up selling it, I want it.

I bought the car used with 56K miles on it, and there were a few things done to it.. i.e. KDM clear corners.

Part # was located right on the cam.

The two cams are IDENTICAL!

Screwdriver, PM me. I'll sell this to you for best offer.

Screwdriver 10-11-2005 09:46 AM

It's strange how that happened. Why would he use a cam with basic mods? I mean, one would think that he'd atleast have i/h/e before progressing to the cam?

You sure you didn't get sent a 2.0L Cam?

(PM sent BTW)

REDZMAN 10-11-2005 09:49 AM

I dunno man, I've had several cams all here at one time, and none had any part #'s on them.

2kShark 10-11-2005 09:59 AM

Highly doubt it, unless KSpec sent me a 2.0 instead of a 1.8..

I think the previous owner reverted as much as he could back to stock, but I guess figured the cam was too hard to get to.

I know that the 1.8l cam and the 2l cam are EXTREMELY similar, do you think I should just pull through with the install?

BTW, part # was located on the BOX** sorry, and the # is 24100023203.

That's a stock 2L Cam

BTW, 1.8L cam is 24100-23002
And if you have the SAME part # for Intake AND Exhaust cam,... something is VERY WRONG
