Will the airram sold at kspec fit on a 1.8L 97 tib too? It should because the heads are the same. And does it come with a throttle body too? If not, will the tigerlily 65mm sold at kspec be sufficient, and bolt up correctly? Thanks for any help.

As far as I know they will work fine with the 1.8l. It does not come with a throttle body, but the Tigerlily would bolt up to it fine.

65mm may be a little big if this is to be used on an N/A setup..

I've got a 60mm Oz-Flow BBTB that I would sell. It needs to have the idle control bracket welded up on it, or you could just adjust you throttle cable so that you don't need the idle control.

Wow, this forum rules compared to HP! 4 replies in a half a day is awesome! I am not really interested in the throttle body, but thanks a lot for the offer. I am just more a brand new kind of guy, and I don't want to worry about having to get a bracket welded onto the TB. I think I will just buy the intake manifold and the 65mm tigerlily TB at the same time from kspec. I know it sounds a little big, but I will be going turbo in 2 years lol. I will deal with the loss of low end power.

I also have a plx wideband w datalogging unit and an safc II to tune with, so it is not like I will be running insanely lean or anything. Now I just need to find the $850 to pay for it all lol.

Thanks again for all of the quick replies guys, and if you have any more inputs please let me know!

1.8 and 2.0 use the same head, so AirRAM should fit.

I will more than likely get the 65mm because as far as I know, there are no 68mm throttle bodies available for our cars (anyone know of a dealer?). And the way I see it, a 65mm TB with a clear path into the IM (3mm bigger bore), is better than a 70mm, with a slight lip around the edge going into the IM right? I would think that the 70mm would end up causing reversion and such. Thanks again for all of the help everyone. smile.gif

BTW: What do you all think of as far as gains go with the 65mm setup and the airram?? I would think like 15hp modestly. Thanks again.
