air intake/ exhaust

will an air intake affect the sound of the exhaust making it deeper or louder. i just put an exhaust on my 06 tiburon and wanted it to be a little bit louder

An aftermarket intake will make a more resonating noise in the engine bay [hence removing the resonator] , the type, materials used and design of the exhaust will determine the sounds emitted from your tail pipe like the length of the cat and/or resonator box, muffler a straight through design etc.

On the XD the intake makes more (and deeper) noise than the exhaust... but I threw a flow-master on it and have the stock exhaust manifold so it didn't get much sound from the exhaust. [
