2000 Tiburon, Header/o2 Help
hey guys, i've been searching, but could find a definite answer.
i have a 2000 tibby. the oem header/cat is getting clog. the car is starting to bog out.
and in my closet i do have an obx header that's been sitting around for the last 7years.
also, i do have a magnaflow converter, 2.25 in/out with a bung pre-welded.
the header, has only 1 o2-bung.
so i'd bolt the header on. plug the 1st bung into that. but do i need to extend the wires?
and then, i'm wanting a custom exhaust or maybe even the obx/megan exhaust system w/ the magnaflow converter welded in there.
would i get by with only 1 converter(magnaflow)???
how did some of you go about this without triggering any codes??
any help would be greatly appreciated. not so used to working on obdII cars.

Well, I can see you searched some, but for the wrong thing. There are dozens of threads about this, but I'll help you out a bit.

You plug the first o2 sensor into that bung. You only extend the wires if need be. There are DIY's on this.

Yup. Could have a CEL though.

It's mostly luck. Supposedly there are some cat converters out there that work good enough to NOT get one, but I can't remember who posted it.
I think maybe Dennist99 or I8acobra. Might want to search their posts for converter.
I'd suggest you read the custom exhaust and o2 sensor problem threads.
