nah, don't have any money atm as we're halfway through uni semester. if i were sure that the ECU was the only difference, i probably would go down that route. the problem is, the relay box wiring is probably different, along with a bunch of other small differences. without AU and US diagrams to compare, i don't have the cojones to take that leap. apart from cali-smog cars, i don't see much reason for the two wiring diagrams to be that different. that said, the australian accents have been fitted with the 1.5 DOHC alpha since early 1998, so i suspect we'd be running similar/same wiring as the 1.6 DOHC in the us.



can anyone confirm that the 1.5 dohc was sold in the X3 and LC accent GT? it would make it alot easier for me to explain things so US sellers if i had a domestic car/engine package to refer to.

There was no 1.5l DOHC LC in the US, just 1.5l SOHC and 1.6l DOHC. For the X3 I'm not 100% sure.

There was at least one year X3 that did have the 1.5L DOHC, 97 or 98.
