kickin tires....accent swap

so after a small gas tank issue ive been kicking around the idea of throwin away the elantra body and swapping all my go fast into an accent

what year would be the easiest to swap into? it's been a while but iirc the x3 was the easiest unless times have changed

i dont give a sh*t about engine management as ill just be running a megasquirt anyways plus i have the donor harness from the elantra if needed

be nice to have an interior again.

small gas tank issue, like you ran over a tree stump in the elantra and burned the back half of the car off?

nah i opened it up to pump the gas out and found a solid 1/8th inch of rust and sediment sitting in the bottom.

cleaned it out with vinegar and salt but still, made me realize that the car has sat for so long i have no idea how it's gonna drive once it's running again.

and im super close to it running again.

long term im probably gonna swap it all into another car. itd be nice to have such luxury items as "door panels" and "carpet"

X3 will be the simplest and lightest. Really the main issues are electrical so the Megasquirt will pretty much level the playing field for X3-LC2.
