Default 99 aceent beta motor and trans swap help

I have a 99 accent (x3) i wanted to the beta motor and trans swap since my 1.5 blew up . I have been doing alot of research but cant get any straight information like should i use beta 1 or 2, motor and trans mounts, or axles is what im having the most trouble figuring out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Beta 1 2.0 is the way to go! You can usually find a good condition beta pretty cheap these days. You dont have to use a beta tranny, because I think it will still connect to the alpha tranny still hooks up to the beta (someone else can confirm). I think the Elantra tranny has slightly longer gears so you could always get a beta tranny from an elantra, and a beta 1 from a tiburon, and be good to go.

I'm using a trans from one of the early 1.6L Tibby betas because it's gearing is one of the higher available. Not the best, but damn good.

Either the beta1 or beta2 should be fairly cheap today. The 2 is a little more robust and with the popularity of GK Tibs among the a**hole-teenage crowd, a wrecked one should be pretty easy to come by. A few of the Kias used that motor too, so I'd highly recommend that just for ease in research.

From what ive seen beta 2 is a harder swap to do because the wiring is more difficult to figure out. The beta one i should be able to use my orignal harness if i lengthen a few things. Ive been doing doing research the beta 2 is a more difficult swap but parts are easier to come by. My issue is i want to get longers gears and i dont know which trans i should use if i did beta one swap. Also having alot of trouble finding info on trans mounts and axles.

You could swap in the beta II but just use beta I sensors.. also, a majority of parts for the beta I and II are interchangeable.

Not all X3 are the same, to help you better lest star with what year is your Accent.

95-96 have 3 mounts on the engine and only one on the tranny.

97-99 have 3 on the tranny and one the engine.

Its way easier to have a 97-99!

You use the mounts for your Alpha tranny, and the one for your engine has to be custom.

I have a 99 and so i should be able to use my alpha trans mounts for the beta? I read the driver side mount has to be custom to. But i have found pictures of the motor mount so i got that once covered.

Yes use the mounts and the base for the mounts from the alpha.

I will need little help here, how do you call the part of the axle that goes inside the tranny?
