Yeah, I dont have an issue helping weld it up again. Now I kinda wish I held on to that 2.0 ecu.. she doesn't need it..
Your welcome btw.

i believe the pinouts on the ECUs are different. i am 100% sure that if you have the 1.5 (i think you do, no ?) that you'd need to have it rewired for the 2.0 ECU to work.

Truth to use the 2.0 ECU you either have to swap the entire harness or (as someone on HP says) desolder and resolder the chips inside and swap.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'> He's running the 1.6l ECU (was originally a 1.5l) and he plans on trying the desolder/resolder method. </div>Yes that is right about the chip.

japako's was the one who swapped a beta chip in the the alpha ecu,
and he's giving that to me in exchange for the sfr adapter which is a pos and never worked..
he said the swapped chipped ecu transformed the car, it had mounds of low and mid range torque, chirping the heavy 17's from 1st-2nd
no empty spots like the 1.6L where the power is at the high revs..the swapped ecu gives such a smooth consistent power curve
the swapped ecu makes the beta LC pull like hell..enough to eat a 07 civic si
more good new's is, you can run it on alpha engine hardware, alpha coil packs and crank sensor, since the ecu is a alpha with a beta chip in it
which is good new's for beta lc owner's running on crappy stock 1.6L chip
so get a beta ecu, unsolder the "si chip" and put it in place of the alpha chip in the ecu, much better upgrade than a turbo..and for $90 on a beta ecuform the junker, why go turbo?
i say this is the next evolution in beta swap history

I have a question for you (or anyone that can help me) Either I am blind or it's not there. The Purge valve on the back of the beta Intake manifold??? I don't remember taking such a thing off of the alpha is it needed? IAT sensor? Where the hell is it? again I don't remember it there on the alpha (MAF) not needed maybe again? and in your pics on the front of the motor near the crank sensor you have a valve solenoid looking thing WTF is it for?
