I was wondering if you got a 2003 tiburon GT and did minor NA work. Would it be a pain to drop in a I-4 with a turbo set later? Yes I know you would have to get a basicly a front clip. And could you use the 6 speed since I am shooting for 300-350 HP so you can have enough gearing? I am not sure if anyone thought of this and thought I would ask. smile.gif Maybe this will help ease people after they realize they blew their V6 or want more from their car.

 

i dont think they give the option of a 6 speed tranny with the I4. chances are the I4 wont bolt onto that one.

i dunno tho... i havent looked @ any of this new stuff, just what comes to mind

 

Yeah, the 6-speed transmission bolts up to the Delta block, not the Beta. Conversion of the tranny would be damn near impossible(if not completely), replacing the whole tranny would be a nicer option.

Other people are headed to that mark on this board, and over in Korea there are a number of people already there. There are a few options to upgrade the internals of the beta's transmission that are pretty reasonable. Do some searching & read up on Red's plans.

Or just get the GT 6-speed and throw $20,000 in making the engine stronger, and then $3,000 for the turbo setup hehehe
