the cam you have in there is damn near exactly the same as the 1.8 cam so dont bother plus i actually think the cam has to be a cvvt cam (could be wrong i havent opened up any cvvt motors yet...)

the bump in compression isnt gonna help too much man, id save your money and just get a nitrous kit and have alot more power

i dont wanna run nitrous at all ! and for the cam, i think cvvt i just on the exhaust tho ? and increasing the compression to 11.0-1 should make a difference shouldnt it ?

20hp is alot imo tongue.gif for a relatively simple mod (my engine already out of car and on engine stand). But can i safely do it on 91 octane fuel ?

I thought the 1.8 pistons lowered the compression on the beta, not increased the compression.

that's if u use the pistons AND rods , the 1.8 rods are shorther but the 1.8L pistons are slightly ticker.

1.8 rods and pistons lower compression

1.8 pistons on 2.0 rods raise it

simple mod? $500+ to get 20 is rather expensive and time consuming

why 500$+ ? 4 oem 1.8L pistons and rings are 159$ shipped on kspec, you just need a couple of gaskets and your good to go.

yes cuz they will just drop in without any machine work right?

how are you going to press them off and on? its not like they bolt on or something

do you have a ring file?

do you have a ring compressor?
