It lives!!! I made that pic in post #6 back in '02. I can't believe how many people have that pic hosted on different servers now.

props, nice info man. definitely was a pain in the ass cutting, stripping, soldering and heat shrinking all of those connections. this way you can make your swap very neat and tidy.

Well I almost have the 1.5L harness to 2.0 beta conversion complete. Havnt had a lot of time this week to work on it but made some progress 2nite. There are a number of electrical plugs that need to be relocated and some extended. Once im done Ill post up the "map out" of the ECM plug and were the wires need to be re located/extended but so far this is whats been done. Cam sensor on the 1.5 needs to be relocated. Both electrical plugs for the a/c compressor had to be lengthened. I freed up the 3 accelerator sensor wires and routed them over to the tranny to be reused as the electric speedo sensor wires. The canister purge valve sensor needed to be relocated. The Maf sensor was relocated over to the map sensor area and I figured out how to depin all the engine electric plugs so no cutting/soldering was needed to swap maf to map. The extra wire on the maf is a hot wire and im going to reuse it at the crankshaft sensor, beta 2 crank sensor needs a power source which is why the beta swap guys running the 1.6 cpu use the 1.6L crank sensor. What I dont get is why they cut off the alpha coil plugs to install beta coil plugs, they fit just fine.
Thats all I got for now but ill keep this updated and yes im snapping pics, there coming. I do have the wiring on the passenger side of the engine bay done. The harness was completely unraveled to do the relocating but the passenger side of the wiring is wrapped back up and it looks good. There are about 3 wires left in the cab to land, I hope I got enough time this week to finish it up.
