4G63 Swaps

I know you can drop the 4G63 engines in old Elantras, Sonatas, Excels and Scoupes with minimal effort and time. What about the older Accents? Can they drop right in or is there a lot of fabrication to get it to fit and match up with the transmission?

They can't be dropped in as easily as a beta can in an Accent or as easily as a 4G63 in the cars you mentioned. However, if you have the time, energy and money then go for it. Just know it won't be a piece of cake.

I'm not entirely sure any of those are direct swaps and they may all be just as easy as one another. As far as I know, any combination will need at least a motor mount or two fabbed up, one or both axles custom built, and a new wire harness run to hit all sensors.

Fail to see purpose when the Beta is an easy swap. If the argument is aftermarket support, any cost to fab parts for the swap will negate the savings in support.

Just do a beta with a turbo. Easy install and less headaches with the same power as a 4G63
