yellow or white fogs
stuck between trying to decide if i should go with 3000k yellow hid fogs or 6000k to match what my headlights are. people tend to like the yellow ones better because it cuts through fog and rain but is really that noticable between the 2 colors?

I like the yellow. Combined with 5k or 6k headlights you get a better coverage of the spectrum. IMO you can definitely see better with a 5k/3k or 6k/3k combo than with 5k or 6k all around. Not farther through fog or rain really, things are just more visible to me.
I say go with 6K/3K. I've always liked the yellow/white combo on cars, and in my experience...yellow does cut through bad weather easily. Last winter, I was driving on the interstate and we got hit with this nasty blizzard to the point where visibility was literally ZERO. Everyone was driving like 5 mph with their flashers on. My Jeep has 3K yellow fogs and it was cutting through the snow like it was nothing and I was able to see much further than with them turned off and just running my Silverstar Ultra lights.

I've gone 6k on all accounts to match the switchback LEDs on the corners. It looks nice an clean, plus with HIDs there's little need for much else.
Granted if you do live in a foggy region then the 3ks will provide better actual visibility.
basically:
6k for looks
3k for function
