Did a nice little project tonight after I got home that took about an hour. I wrapped my diffuser with 3M DINOC carbon fiber. DINOC is pretty much one of the highest quality types of vinyl you can have. Didnt need a heat gun or anything. It forms to the curves pretty easily, and its pretty thick and real looking. I still have to do a very tiny bit of trimming, but for the most part, it came out perfect.

$ for vinyl and have more satisfaction of doing this type of DIY > $$$ for a plastic CF piece that probably wont even fit right, take forever to get, and isnt as fun to install
Its not always about having money to buy the more expensive option.

I was all set to call "ricer" on you, until you brought up the part about a CF part not likely fitting right. If you wanted it for the look and wanted it to fit, then you did it right.
