I have heard that some bulbs can be too much for factory wiring. Is there anything to worry about with any of the different bulb choices on the market?

If the wattage is so high it melts the wiring then the voltage drop is so high that you won't get the light you're after anyway. Factory wiring on the headlights should be good for 55w. You can go higher say 25%. But if you're looking at 100w bulbs they probably don't pull 100 watts.
With HIDs there should be no problem.
FWIW I put 100 w bulbs in my hi beams. They still did not put out enough light but did not heat up the wiring enough to cause problems. Took them out and put in 55w HIDs.

For anyone who might be viewing, it's a good idea to get the relay harness for HID bulbs.
The Sonata has had known problems for frying the fuse panel when it isn't used. I haven't heard of this happening with the Genesis, but it's worth the extra protection.
