Default Why do people with RSPEC's and Track models

always think their cars are so much more faster than Base models or other cars?

I beat so and so with my stock RSPEC by 2 car lengths....

My factory Track is so much quicker than his Base, so I'm a god and he's a puny nobody.....

Dude, doesnt matter if you have a Track or RSPEC. They are the same damn horsepower as a Base model. Idiots!

I've seem some people lately using "base" to mean stock. Not saying it happened in your experience but I've seen it.

Track 3.8 = fluff added

RSpec 3.8 = Brembo and LSD added

Not gonna get you more power, but may be better in a track scenario

Base with the same Hp might be quicker all things being perfectly equal. The brakes add unsprung weight and I think the 19s are heavier (might be wrong). Even that would be a very small difference. The LSDs might be able to give an edge off the line if you are not on a prepped surface, but that being said. Its going to be a drivers race between the trims.

My base 3.8 would be happy to line up against a stock rspec 4 cyl of the same generation. He has more letters on the back, but I think my cheap version can handle it

I know some people get the Base models because it's cheaper for them. Me? I purposely wanted the Base because I couldnt see spending the extra 4-5 grand on parts that I was planning on changing with aftermarket anyway. I do wish the Base models came with Bembros though.
