Wheelie bars

Stupi question, but if you had a high horsepower genesis (700+), would you need wheelie bars on the back to keep the front end from coming up off the ground at drag tracks?

Trust us...you'll NEVER need them on a Genesis unless you're breaking ludacris hp and speed levels...

700+ HP and a lightened (like seriously lightened) car and yes, you might need wheelie bars. However IF you were building that sort of drag car, you'd already know that.

Mass * CG Height * Acceleration / Wheelbase = Longitudinal weight transfer.

If that exceeds the weight that is over your front tyres, you will theoretically do a wheelie. As to whether you need wheelie bars depends on your clearance at the back of the car, the robustness of your front suspension, your Vmax and drag, how well clipped your floormats are, and Joe Pesci.
