They're really expensive so Im wondering if they serve some type of purpose. I have seen them on riced out cars but I cant imagine some high school kid paying $200+ for these things.

if it was a SHOW CAR it would probably have actual BRAND NAME calipers instead of some plastic bullshit
at the very least the stock calipers would be painted, hell i went to a show and saw a rsx with GOLD PLATED calipers
for 200 bux you can probably all 4 calipers powdercoated..that is if you know how to take apart and rebuild a caliper

The ones that the little riced out honda civics have are probably $10 specials from Pep Boys. They're not $200 like what KAI sells them for.
